The SureFire 3-prong is our go-to muzzle device for almost all applications, and whether we’re mounting a SureFire SOCOM series suppressor or just need excellent flash reduction, the SF3P fits the bill. The SureFire 3-Prong is available for both 5.56 and 7.62 applications.

Will the 5.56 device fit a 7.62 suppressor?
Yes. The 5.56 devices fit both 556-RC2s and 762-RC2s and work great on most 5.56 rifles. 7.62 muzzle devices will not accept the 5.56 suppressors (for obvious reasons). So there is no chance of damaging your suppressor by using it on the wrong gun.
