The improvements include a more open design for debris pass through, wider support for pistol mags, and an additional screw for more retention control.

So, you may be asking yourself, "Does this mean I should upgrade my MARS carriers?" If you are running Glock or other common pistol or rifle mags in your MARS, please do NOT upgrade just to upgrade. The main advantages are for folks who are running previously-unsupported or esoteric metal mags and need the more specific geometry and adjustments of the new design.
