This is our go-to mag carrier for slick and compact plate carrier setups. It consists of five elastic cells with a velcro hook field on the back and a velcro loop field on the front. This allows it to slap on and stick to the front of any plate carrier on the market that has velcro loop on the front. Then the cummerbund of a plate carrier can wrap around and stick to the front of the shingle, pulling it and its contents in super tight.
The three middle cells will accommodate .223, 5.56, and even 5.45x39 magazines. The two cells on the sides are about 2.5" and wrap around the sides of the front plate, which makes for about 2" - 2.25" of usable space - perfect for carrying flashlights, tourniquets, multitools, pistol mags, etc.
Has five elastic cells total: Three 3" wide cells and two 2.5" cells. Fits .223/5.56 magazines. Can also be used for 5.45x39 magazines.
14.5" long x 4" tall with an added 1" loop of webbing on the bottom of each cell. The six velcro fields are 2" x 4".

This a a slick option for 556 mags, I have used my a lot and they still retain the mags where they won’t fall out but easy to draw. It is a bit to get them back into the shingle but not a deal breaker. It does not stick out too much when prone and found them to be pretty comfortable. I have also used it to stuff glock mags with extensions in it as well.

I bought this back when I didn't know any better, and I quickly realized that I would've been better off buying a Micro Fight Chassis for $20 more. I would recommend a slick (nothing on it) plate carrier setup with just this and maybe wing pouches, or use it to add some extra organization and/or plus up an Active Shooter Response setup on a Ready Rig. Pros: - Low profile - Lightweight Cons: - No inserts for reindexing - No pull tabs for additional retention - No support for more secure attachment methods
