Ragnarok Holster Overview

The Ragnarok is our really rugged outside-the-waistband holster, and I'm tempted to say duty holster because it's almost indestructible and it's made for duty handguns with lights and optics. However, it's really not ideally suited for law enforcement duty use because it doesn't have all the active retention components that, say, a Safariland holster does. It doesn't really do everything that certain departments really require for outside-the-waistband stuff.

Retention and Adjustment

The retention on the Ragnarok is passive, but you have the ability to adjust it to exactly how you want it. So like with most T.REX ARMS holsters, the screw that is closest to the light on a light-compatible holster is going to give you your click. That's going to actually grab the light, and you can feel that it's actually retaining on the light once you get it in there. And then you can adjust some of the other screws to give you some friction on the slide of the gun. That works out pretty well.

And then on a non-light-compatible holster, it's the screw that is closest to the trigger guard that gives you that strong retention, and then you adjust your friction with the other three.

It should be noted that weapons with no light on board cannot work in the holsters that are built for a weapon light — that's where the retention comes in. So you want something that's built for your specific setup.

Compatibility and Build Quality

And like I said, we're compatible with a lot of different components and accessories, because this is more like a competition holster, or possibly a training holster, but it is extremely rugged. All of the hardware on here is stainless steel. And the Kydex that we're using is our sturdiest Kydex — it's 0.125 inches thick, so a full eighth of an inch of Kydex.

This is the first holster that we started making on CNC machines. We've been selling it for over 10 years now, and we've broken — I mean, one handful, maybe two handfuls — by which I mean I think we can count every broken Ragnarok on the fingers of two hands. So they're extremely rugged, and they've got a lot of attachment options.

Attachment Options

The hole pattern on a Ragnarok is compatible with a whole bunch of different accessories — you can see a full list on the website — but what most people are going to use it with is the Safariland CUBL. That's what a lot of folks are doing. It gives you a little bit of cant, a little bit of adjustability there.

A lot of folks also combine that with our quick attachment system, the QLS system. This is the fork, and this is the receiver, and they go together very quickly. It also goes really nicely with the T.REX ARMS thigh strap. So this is a very common configuration, but there are lots of other options available to you with this hole pattern.

Depending on what you order on the site, we're going to set this thing up for you as close as possible to what you actually need. It's going to come ready to use out of the box with some safe retention, but you're going to have the ability to dial that in exactly how you want it and set up the rig exactly how you need it.
