The Nightforce ATACR 1-8 is one of the highest-performing LPVOs on the market without sacrificing the durability and reliability needed to survive whatever you may throw at it. Like other ATACRs, the 1-8 features Nightforce’s Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) Glass, which provides a high level of optical clarity that reduces chromatic aberration, increasing the effective range of the optic while offering excellent performance throughout the magnification range. Aside from the glass, the illumination is also extremely impressive on the 1-8, offering ten brightness levels, including 2 NV modes for Clip-ons and 1 extra-bright mode that is bright enough for the harshest lighting conditions.
The ATACR 1-8 comes with the FC-DMx reticle, a recent update from the old FC-DM reticle found in older NF 1-8s. The DMx reticle slims down on some of the bulk of the older DM reticle and has a more open center and a simplified tree, allowing a better view of targets while still offering quick holds for wind and elevation. Unlike most LPVO reticles, the FC-DMx is a mil-based reticle instead of a BDC, allowing for greater adaptability between numerous platforms, calibers, and barrel lengths while offering the opportunity to use speed drop and mil-based ranging techniques.
