The Divine Right of Resistance by Phillip Kayser

Throughout history, liberty has ebbed and flowed in direct conflict with tyranny. The pursuit of Liberty has required education, resolve, and often physical resistance. It has usually been driven by people appealing to Christian principles, but Christian principles are not well-defined today.

We need to ask some basic questions. What does the Bible say about submitting to governments or disobeying tyrants? What does it say about the civil magistrate's responsibilities and the rights of individual people?

While many great books have been written on this subject and the complex applications used in historical political resistance movements, it can take time to extract individual principles from them. This is a short introductory book that looks very specifically at what God's Word says about the responsibilities of God's people—highly recommended for those wanting a better understanding of this topic.
