I was shopping around for a new light for my Glock 17 Gen 6 I picked up at the beginning of the year. I wanted something different than the Surefire x300u-b or x-300 turbo. Don't get me wrong, I like those lights. They give good performance but I've never been a fan of the switches they use. Particularly in how you manipulate them. I had a friend recommended the Streamlight TLR-1 hp-x so I took his advice and bought one from trex arms. I very much prefer the switches on this light over the Surefire switches and I really like being able to remove the batteries from the light without having to remove it from the gun. It's a little detail that perhaps isn't super important but I like that feature.
