How to Pass Pro-2A Legislation

It has been encouraging to get so much feedback from this political newsletter. What is most encouraging of all is when people ask how they can get started making political changes in their own states. As we mentioned in the last email, there were a bunch of really solid gun freedom bills here in Tennessee that we've been supporting, and while not all of them have survived this year's political process, community involvement has gone a long way.

In our most recent video, Isaac Botkin walks through how the legislative process actually works, as bills go from an idea, to legal language, through subcommittees, to full committees, to being voted into law. And in the video, you can see discussion on HB1735, the bill that would have lowered TN's carry age from 21 to 18. That bill went on to ultimately fail in the Senate, but its overwhelming support in the House is political capital that can be used to bring it back next year. Also, the conversation (and controversy) surrounding that and other gun bills will definitely affect this year's midterms.
