Section I. GENERAL INFORMATION 1-1 Scope. This manual is for all levels of maintenance on lead-acid batteries. The lead-acid storage batteries covered in this manual are used in different types of military equipment. 1-2 Maintenance Forms and Records. Required Maintenance forms and records are listed and explained in DA PAM 738-750, The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS). 1-3 Reporting Equipment Improvement Recommendations (EIR). If your equipment needs improvement, let us know. Send us and EIR. You, the user, are the only one who can tell us what you don't like about your equipment. Let us know why you do not like the design. Tell us why a procedure is hard to perform. Put your improvement on an SF 368 (Quality Deficiency Report).
