1. Scope a. This manual covers field and depot main- tenance for Receiver, Radio R-943/USD-1 (fig. 1). It includes instructions appropriate to third, fourth, and fifth echelons for trouble- shooting, testing, aligning, and repairing the equipment, replacing maintenance parts, and repairing specified maintenance parts. It also lists tools, materials, and test equipment for third, fourth, and fifth echelon maintenance. Detailed functions of the equipment are cov- ered in the theory sections. b. Organizational maintenance for this equipment is contained in TM 11-1550-200-12. c. The appendix to this manual contains references. d. The glossary contains a list of definitions. e.
