Amplifier Assembly AN/FRA-1B dif- fers from Amplifier Assembly AN/FRA-IA in that the "B" model has a supplementary tap on the plate transformer secondary windings to permit operation of the equipment at higher al- titudes. The "B" model also hasa large corona ring on antenna loading coil L402; this ring is not included on the "A" model. Time-delay re- lay K301 on the rectifier unit is electrically identical on the "A" and "B" models, but the physical appearance of the relay is not the same on the two models, nor are the relays mechanically interchangeable. The "B" model uses tube type 3B28 as the bias rectifier in place of tube type 866A/866 which is used in the "A" model. The conductors of the trans- mission line in the "B" model are spaced 5 inches from the center line. This spacing is 6 inches in the "A" model. Page 5.
