SECTION _ DESCRIPTION OF RADIO TRANSMITTER BC-1149-(*) (TARGET)i 1. Use of Equipment a. Radio Transmitter BC—1149-(*) (Target) is used specifically as a target at predetermined positions about the directional antenna of direc- tion-finding equipments such as Radio Set SCR-— 502 in order to calibrate and check the function- ing of these equipments. Figure 1 shows the transmitter set up for operation. It is used in ANTENNA ADAPTER BAND 1234 ON-OFF Figure 2. conjunction with a mounting support, a tripod, and two antenna rods. b. Official nomenclature followed by (*) is used to indicate all models of the item of equipment included in this manual.
