Section I. 1. General a. Teletypewriter Sets AN/TGC-1 and AN/TGC-1A are complete teletypewriter sets designed for use in comcenters (communications center) and tape-relay stations. Each unit in- cludes facilities for sending, receiving, and moni- toring teletype messages on perforated tape on which the message also is typed. Sending, receiv- ing, and monitoring facilities are furnished by a multiple transmitter distributor (for sending) and two typing reperforators (for receiving and moni- toring). 6. Both Teletypewriter Sets AN/TGC-1 and AN/TGC-1A function at 368.1 operations per minute (0. p.m.) (60 words per minute). To have Teletypewriter Set AN/TGC-1A function at 600 o. p.m. (100 words per minute) it is necessary to make certain mechanical changes. These changes are described in paragraph 159c. To have Tele- typewriter Set AN/TGC-1 function at 600 0. p. m.
