Par. 1-5 SECTION I DESCRIPTION 1. PURPOSE. a. The 13A (SPL) Transmission Measuring Set is designed for use in making transmission measurements where portable apparatus is required to measure received testing power. b. The 183A (SPL) Transmission Measuring Set has component parts spe- cially treated with moisture-resistant materials for use under tropical con- ditions and differs in this respect from the 13A Transmission Measuring Set. The circuit and operating features, however, are the same for both the 13A and 13A (SPL) sets. The 134 (SPL) Transmission Measuring Set is manufactured as the D-165655 set. &. RANGE. This set has an input impedance of approximately 600 ohms and is capa- ble of measuring received power from -45 dbm (45 db below a milliwatt into 600 ohms) to +10 dbm (10 db above a milliwatt into 600 ohms) over a fre- quency range from 30 cycles to 15 kilocycles.
