It presents an explanation of the chief func- tions of each major group of components but does not include a discussion of circuit theory. b. Purpose and Use Radar Set AN/MPQ-4A (fig. 1) is a mobile, low-range radar system used to determine the location of enemy mortars or low-velocity artil- lery. The radar set is powered by Gasoline En- gine Generator Set PU-107A/U, which is mounted on a trailer. Provision is made for local or remote operation.
