For these echelons this text describes the organization which produces in telligence, the production of intelligence from information, the means and methods of obtaining information, counterintelligence organization and functions, and in telligence training and planning. b. Details of procedures and techniques of many subjects and operations re lated to combat intelligence are omitted from this text when they are contained in other intelligence manuals and basic branch manuals. c.
