It is effective upon receipt. 2. Summary: NWP 3-02.12/MCRP 3-31.1A is the single source of doctrine for planning and executing LCAC employment during amphibious and other operations. It serves as a guide for operational staffs, unit commanders, detachment officers-in-charge, LCAC craftmasters and crews, and school commands. 3. This publication complements NWP 3-02.2M, Ship-to-Shore Movement, the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps doctrine for ship-to-shore movement during the assault phase of an amphibious operation.
