Composition of the Howitzer Section a. The howitzer section consists of section per- sonnel; a 155-mm, self-propelled, howitzer M109/M109A1; a section vehicle; and auxiliary equipment as listed in appropriate table of organization. ' b. Personnel of the howitzer section consists of— (1) A chief of section (CS). (2) A gunner (G). (3) An assistant gunner (AG). (4) Five cannoneers, numbered 1 through 5. (5) A motor carriage driver (MD). (6) A section vehicle driver (SD). 2-2. General Duties of Personnel Chief of Section. The chief of section is the noncommissioned officer in command of the section. He is responsible to the batteiy executive officer for— (1) Training and efficiency of personnel.
