This field manual provideàxmformation for all personnel who require familiarization or technical traïhmg on the MK-J5D Martin-Baker ejection seat system. It also provides a guioaior standardizing unit and individual training on the system. AR 95-1 (ArmyAviation: General Provisions and Flight Regulations) directs that trainingVqquirements herein be completed by OV-1 (Mohawk) aircraft members, maintenance personnel, and passengers prior to flight in or maintenance on the aircraft. This manual gives individuals a capsule view of the seat system, its operation and servicing, and safety and caution areas. The OV-1 (Mohawk) operator's manual, TM and the MK- J5D Martin-Baker ejection seat maintenance manual, TMs55-1680-308-24, were used extensively as references for developing this manuhl and should be referred to by aviator and maintenance personnel.
