FM 55-250 * -- CHAPTER 2 GENERAL SAFETY AND SECURITY MATTERS WARNING ‘ Î ' The‘Nike-Hercuies warhead section will not be jettisoned under any circumstances. 2-1. Warnings The following warnings will be observed by person- nel performing operations, procedures, and prac- tices that are included or implied in this manual. Disregard for these warnings could result in person- al injury or loss of life. a. Prior to each nuclear cargo mission, the pilot in command will be familiar with provisions of AR 50-5, AR 50-5-1, and AR 95-27, and insure compli- ance therewith. In addition, the pilot will become familiar with the security, safety, and technical peculiarities of the cargo that may affect air trans- port. Flight plans will include provisions for avoid- ing built-up and heavily populated areas.
