Tnefire unit of the searchlight battery consists of a searchlight, with its control station and power plant, and a caliber .50 machine gun, together with the necessary personnel to man the weapons and equipment. Fire units are equipped with radars in accordance with T/0 & E 44:-138. b. The detailed organization for an AAA searchlight battery appears in T/O & E 44-138. (1) The searchlight battery consists of a battery headquarters and two platoons. (2) Battery headquarters is divided into a headquarters section, communication section, and maintenance section.
