FM 4-25 COAST ARTILLERY FIELD MANUAL SEACOAST ARTILLERY SERVICE OF THE PIECE 155-MM GUN (The matter contained herein supersedes TR 435-184, June 26, 1936, including C 1, January 3, 1939.) SECTION I GENERAL 1. ScoPE.--a. This manual prescribes the service of the piece for the 155-mm gun for use against naval targets. The duties of the members of the gun section in the service of the piece are shown in the drill table in section IX. b. The preparation of the carriage for the march, maneuvering into position, and the service of the piece prescribed herein are intended as guides for the battery commander. Minor changes in the details of maneuvering and of the service of the piece may be made to meet local conditions. * 2. REFERENCES.-The references listed in the appendix should be consulted, especially those pertaining to ammunition and to the operation, care, and maintenance of mat6riel.
