PURPOSE AND REFERENCES. The purpose of this Field Manual is to provide a guide for training field radio operators in radiotelegraph procedure and ready reference data required in the operation of field radio communication. The procedure contained herein describes the brief, basic method of operation that will be employed by units of the Army Ground Forces, and especially by radio stations within the division. 2. SCOPE. The information contained in this manual in conjunction with FM 24-10, "Combined Radiotelegraph (W/T) Procedure (CCBP 1)" and FM 24-12, "Combined Operating Signals (CCBP 2-2)" includes adequate data for radiotelegraph operation within divisions, with illustrated examples of each operation.
