PM 101-10-1 CHAPTER 1 ORGANIZATION Section I. GENERAL 1-1. Purpose and Scope a. Purpose. This manual is for use as a planning guide only. It provides general planning data for staff officers of all echelons. Detailed reference data are found in tables of organization and equip- ment (TOE), field manuals, technical manuals, technical bulletins, and supply bulletins as out- lined in DA Pam 310-series. The principles and procedures of combat service support are con- tained in FM 100-10 ; the duties of the staff officers and the principles and procedures of staff action are contained in FM 101-5. b. Scope. Source cutoff date for material con- tained in this manual is 1 January 1968. Tables and examples in chapters 1 through 9 are not, in all cases, based on latest TOE ; therefore, computa- tions must be adjusted accordingly.
