In today's operational environment, Army operations require the integration of Army, joint, and multinational capabilities from all domains to defeat the enemy during large-scale combat operations. Working closely with other unified action partners is a key and enduring element of U.S. national strategy. The U.S. frequently needs support from its partners and allies to prevail during competition, crisis, and armed conflict. Likewise, partners and allies often need extensive U.S. support during regional and internal conflicts. Liaison among military headquarters allows commanders to integrate military operations in joint, interagency, and multinational environments by providing necessary staff interface, mentoring, support, and communication required for our partners and allies to accomplish their missions.
