ATP 3-21.91, The SBCT weapons troop, discusses the techniques used while conducting missions. In addition to doctrine changes, a significant effort has been made to eliminate redundancies with parent doctrinal manuals (for example ADRP 3-07.) Mission, enemy, terrain and weather, troops and support available, time available, and civil considerations (METT-TC) condition will dictate how the troop commander accomplishes his tasks. This manual provides the commander and his subordinates with an array of methods that can be used or modified. ATP 3-21.91 has nine chapters and three appendices. The chapters consist of an organizational chapter and a chapter on reconnaissance and security, offense, defense, stability, and tactical enabling operations. Defense support to civilian authorities and defense support of civil authority is not covered.
