About

ATP 3-04.119 shapes the way SSB forces operate and guides leaders and Soldiers in the conduct of training and operations. This document is not prescriptive and is not a substitute for creative thought or initiative. SSB operations are often complex and unlike any other type of aviation operation. The organization must be adaptive, expeditionary in nature, and modular in design to retain flexibility in accomplishing missions across a broad array of emergent and non-emergent operational environments (OEs). SSBs are designed to be employed primarily in permissive environments due to the use of UH-72 aircraft.
