Tennessee Renters Win Second Amendment Protections
Our Biggest Political Victory in Tennessee this Year
2026 was an important year for Tennessee politics, and the best progress made for firearm freedom was a bill preventing landlords from banning guns in their rental properties. When this law goes into effect in January of next year, tenants will no longer be in danger of having their Second Amendment rights removed simply because they do not own their homes.
This bill is the result of two years of work by Lee Reeves and Bobby Harshbarger, and they steadfastly defended it against an army of lobbyists, bureaucrats, and even fellow legislators. T.Rex Arms wants to express our gratitude to both of these men who carried and passed this bill, and to the many legislators who supported it despite incredible opposition from parts of the Nashville establishment. Representative Reeves is running for reelection in District 65, and we fully endorse him as a candidate who has shown tremendous resolve and principle in his first term. We hope that his constituents will send him back to the Hill for a second term to keep fighting the good fight for rights and liberty.
