As all of you probably know, at least I hope you all know, shoes are an extremely personal product because everyone has way more preferences for the types of shoes that they wear on their feet all day, weeks on end, months on end, years on end, than other pieces of equipment such as firearms and night vision and whatnot. However, Salomon is a brand that has been on the market for a while and more recently they came out with a more tactical line of shoes where they removed some of the reflective material that a lot of their other civilian shoes have to make something a little bit more tactical. This is one of their boot models. They have a few different models. It is a mid-height style hiking boot. Although I would actually classify this as sort of an in-between a shoe and an actual full-fledged boot.
So for those of you who don't wanna wear a full combat boot or something like that, this is actually a really great option. Now not everyone likes the shape style of Salomons. It's just something you're gonna have to try out. There's some people here in the building that really don't like wearing Salomons. And then there's other people like me who wear Salomon shoes all the time. And I've actually been wearing Salomon shoes now for over 10 years. Took a little break, a little hiatus for a little bit. And now I'm back to wearing these practically every day. So you'll see on this particular model, this is the X Ultra Pro. This is a good example compared to the Forces line. We've got these little reflectivity bits right here, which is not necessarily something that you want for a tactical application. Running around town and doing things. You don't get hit by a car on the side of the road. Yeah, that's really cool.
But the Forces line removes a lot of that. And it also, it seems to be, they have proved some of the IR reflectivity properties as well. Now I will say, taking some night vision, looking at these shoes. The shoes do not look like one matte, flat color under night vision. You will still get some of these synthetics that are showing up, sort of as a mid-tone gray color through night vision. And then you have everything else that's that sort of black color when you're looking through night vision. Nothing's super reflective and really bright under night vision. But these are not all muted, one color when you're actually looking at them through a night vision device. So I will say that. Laces are replaceable.
You can obviously wear them however you want. And the sole has a little bit of tread, less than the speed cross, but more than say these XA 3D shoes that I'm wearing. And that is this particular model right here. If you have any other questions about Salomon shoes or boots, go ahead and email us at [email protected].
