Let's talk about the attachments for the Sidecar holster. When you purchase a Sidecar, if you decide to purchase it without any attachments to begin with, you are going to get a holster with the little wing here on the side with another clip attached. So you have two inside the waistband tuckable clips that you can use for three, four, five o'clock, or even dedicated appendix carry. You'll have the claw here on the side, and you can run this like a standard holster. However, if you're someone who wants to use an attachment and have the full Sidecar experience, and you purchase one of these at the same time as your holster, it will come put together already for you. But if you don't have that already, it's a very simple process to remove the pin. You're gonna take a screwdriver, you're gonna jam that sucker out, and what you're gonna have is a friction washer, don't lose this, and then the pin itself, you will then remove your wing clip attachment.
I would recommend putting this somewhere where you can find it again in case you want it. And now the holster is ready to receive one of the various attachments that we offer. This design is also open source, so there may be other companies out there who are most likely 3D printing different attachments or knife sheets or things like that that you could actually add to the holster. And with that said, if you wanna get creative, you can take this little wing component where there's some extra holes, get some hardware, and potentially even add an attachment to the backside of this like a knife sheath or something else and actually have whatever you want in addition to your handgun. In this case, the most common attachment that we offer and that people buy and to have a traditional Sidecar experience is a pistol magazine carrier. The nice thing with this is you can actually set the height that you want this to ride. This will be dependent on the size of handgun that you are purchasing the holster for as different lengths of handgun and it will have a different amount of teeth and a different length of rod. So on this small compact sized P365 holster, you'll see, it's a much shorter row of teeth, it's a shorter rod, so adjusting the height of this mag carrier, it's gonna overhang or it's gonna maybe overhang on the top, but you can adjust the height of this by moving it around a little bit.
It just may not look super pretty. But in this case, I can just throw the magazine right here on the Glock, it looks really good. It's gonna be flush with the grip or the top of the slide and I'll be set, I'll be good to go. The only thing I'm gonna wanna do here is you will see there's a slot here in the middle. That is where the friction washer is gonna go and what this does is it just helps prevent the pin from potentially falling out. I will say it's already a fairly tight fit with the pin in there, just touching the kydex from both attachments. The friction washer just gives you a little bit more safety and security. So you're just gonna drop that sucker in there and then I recommend going in from the bottom. It's just a little bit easier and I'm good to go. It really is that fast. And now I have a traditional Sidecar set up with a magazine that can rotate, but is also not going to flare outwards because of the rigidity of the kydex and the metal rod itself.
Now when it comes to retention on all these attachments, you'll see there are multiple screws on everything. On the rifle mag carrier, we've got a screw here by the spine, which can affect the tension of the spine in addition, as it's attached to the holster with the pin running down the center. But you can play around with all these different screws and adjust the retention based on the type of magazine that you are using, based on maybe the width of the suppressor that you're using, if you're using something like this, or just the retention of the pistol magazine itself. So I highly recommend playing with the retention on these attachments once you have one that you are using and don't just go with what we ship you by default, although obviously you can do that.
Now the next most popular attachment is the Tourniquet Holder. So this is made of a BioThane material. You will see that there are a number of grommets on the backside. This is so that this could be ambidextrous for left-handed people, or if you are properly handed, right-handed person, that's how we are shipping these by default typically, unless you purchase one of these at the same time as a left-handed holster, it'll come together, we will assemble that for you. But here you're gonna have the clip on the front with adjustable height based on the grommets that are on the backside, and based on all the holes on the inside the waistband tuckable clip. Now I will say because this is BioThane and because this is a flexible material, when you go to attach this to a holster, you may have to finesse it a little bit more than say a normal Kydex setup. But it's gonna be the same thing, I'm gonna set my height, so in this case I have a TLR7 holster, it's very similar to what I carry.
I'm gonna drop the friction washer here in the slot, go in from the bottom, and there we have the Tourniquet Holder on there. As you will see it is a little bit stiffer, a little bit harder to install, but once it's there it's not going anywhere. And that is that fine balance of how easy should the attachment need to be to add to the holster versus how easy is it, and how stable does it need to be there once it's there. So the last thing you want is this failing or the pin falling out and then just like falling apart while you're wearing it out in public. So this is now ready to be used, and the tourniquet is deployed using, it's just a very simple pull tab that's elastic right here. So all you're gonna do is move that to the side, tourniquet comes right out, in this case I had a Sharpie in there as well, and I can then use the tourniquet for whatever I need to. One thing to note with the Tourniquet Holder, this is the most comfortable of all the attachments in my opinion, because it is a soft material and it can flex a little bit. So if you are looking for something that is comfortable, but also very capable and you're concerned about the comfortability of running a pistol magazine, it's also not as heavy, so you're not putting as much weight in the front. This is the most comfortable way in my opinion of running a Sidecar, and then typically what I do from extra magazine is I just throw it in the pocket when I want one.
We also have a Cuff Carrier. The Cuff Carrier is designed with a magnet in the bottom, so this is to prevent the rattling of the chain that you will have, particularly on cuffs that are not hinged. I will say the cuff carrier is not really compatible with hinged cuffs, they're much larger and fatter at the bottom, and so this is designed for the more traditional chain style cuffs, and you can see the compatibility for this particular product on the product page for which cuffs this works with, but it works very well, and there are people that are using this. It is an option out there, probably not for most of you, and that's fine, but it is something that we put a lot of thought into and works very well for what this is supposed to do.
And last but not least, probably the most interesting attachment is the suppressor carrier. We have these in two different sizes, one for fatter larger suppressors like the Omega 9K, one that's a little bit slimmer for your Tundras and maybe the Surefire Rider, other more traditionally sized pistol suppressors. And once again, there are various rubber washers and screws that you can use to adjust the retention. This is gonna be much more, I'd say variable because this is not designed for one suppressor in mind, so you are gonna have to get in there and play with the washers to get your suppressor to fit properly. So if you do wanna carry a suppressor in addition to your handgun with a threaded barrel, you can absolutely do that with our Sidecar Holster and that is very cool, although probably not super necessary for most folks.
We also make the Kydex attachments in other colors now. Initially we launched with black and there were people that asked for other colors and we can do that. If you wanna two-tone a holster with some interesting color scheme that you have envisioned with a different color attachment to a different color of holster, you can absolutely do that. At this time, the Tourniquet Holder is black only as we're only ordering all the material in black, but if you are interested in doing some crazy color combination, you can now do that with the Kydex accessories and it's pretty awesome that we can offer that.
